Here’s Friday and it brings us to another fun quiz just like last one about Australia.
This time I brought you the quiz to test your knowledge of Australian slang i.e. the Australian English words which are commonly used in daily talk here in Australia. Be warned though, it is nowhere closer to any form of English you have ever came across. Some of these words might left you completely baffled. But don’t worry, once you know them, they are absolutely fun to use.
Before you eagerly go and try out the quiz, here is the big hint: Australians love to shorten the words and add ie or y at the end. For example, Chewie for chewing gum, Chokkie for chocolate or Ciggy for a Cigarette.
Okay, enough of introduction, get, set, go…

The quiz format is simple. You will be shown a sentence with a highlighted word like this. You need to choose right Australian word which can replace the highlighted word without changing the meaning of the sentence. For example, if the sentence is: "Hey if you are going to shop, can you please get me some avocados?" The correct answer is avos as that's what Avocado is called in Australian slang. Plus, it doesn't change the meaning of a sentence if we do this: "Hey if you are going to shop, can you please get me some avos?" You getting me? Good! So let's begin
and hey, no Google, okay?
